Jewish Springfield consists of:
The Jewish Federation of Springfield, Illinois. Two Temples: Temple B’rith Sholom, Reform Congregation and Temple Israel, Conservative Congregation. Each congregation has their own Sisterhoods. There is a combined Temple B'rith Sholom and Temple Israel Religious School, B’rit Yisrael, that is governed by the Springfield Board of Jewish Education. There is Springfield Chabad. There is a very active Hadassah Chapter and a B’nai B’rith lodge.
There is no Orthodox community, no kosher butcher, no mikveh nor Jewish Day School.
